Shared Services Canada

This initiative is our focus on how the federal government program Shared Services Canada can also shape the innovation roadmap.

Shared Services Canada is a new government agency created by the Canadian Government to amalgamate a number of previously separate IT units.

Cloud Computing can be used to achieve these goals, and by documenting these best practices Canada will simultaneously output assets that can underpin further commercialization.

The PIPSC provides news alerts on the Shared Services Canada initiative here, and with press news such as:

  • Canadian Government must move tech to the Cloud, or risk becoming “technologically incapacitated.” - Montreal Gazette.
  • Ottawa’s IT overhaul meant to protect against cyber attacks -Globe and Mail
  • Potential bumps on the road - IT World Canada
